I came upon this in a recent project and decided to record a quick tutorial on how to quickly fix a simple synchronization issue. The issue came because one of the cameras was only recording audio on channel 2 and by default premiere only uses channel 1 for sync. So changing the sync method to "mix down" make it look at both channels. Hopefully this saves you some time! Need music for your project? How To Sync Video and Audio To Timecode In Premiere Pro by using the create multi-camera source sequence feature. We use the Metadata display to assign camera labels to each video camera and audio clip. This way when you hit the sync button you can have a dedicated track for all your footage to each specific camera as opposed to the waterfall timelines you may be used to seeing. Now you don't have to duplicate and add transitions between two tracks. You were able to use the remix feature for quite some time but it was limited to Adobe Audition only. Quick and easy tutorial on how to fix audio drift that happens after you sync your separate audio recording with your camera footage and sound. Tutorial was done in Premiere Pro but it will work in any editing software. This is a common problem unless you have top of the line equipment (and even then it can still happen), audio recording is controlled by quartz crystals that are accurate to about 2 to 20 parts per million, if you work in 30fps and that's 180,000 frames an hour which would give you at least 2 frames out of sync (it is often more). I've seen plenty of different ways to go about fixing this that involve cutting up the audio which is just a pain and this ends up working a lot quicker for me.
