I have been a HUGE fan of the original (OG) SL ever since it was released and this is finally, the true SL replacement in my opinion. Amazing low light. Faster AF than the SL2. Appears to have a tweaked color science (for the better) over the SL2. Same body as the SL2, same EVF, LCD and menu. Itr's an SL2 with a, IMO, better sensor. This camera is also crazy versatile as I can shoot L lenses from Sigma, Panasonic and Leica as well as M lenses, Canon lenses and Nikon lenses via adapters. The SL2-S has impressive video specs, and can shoot in full frame DCI 4k or even full HD full frame at 120 FPS. I talk about all of this and more in this video! Enjoy, and thank you all. Two lenses cut from the same kind of cloth (manual focus, M mount, 50mm APO designs) except one is a little smaller and costs $9000 while the other comes in at $1000. The Voigtlander 50 APO is an amazing M mount lens and gets eerily close to the Leica for thousands less. The Leica Noctilux 50 1.2 is a unique lens that is all about character, bokeh and beauty. This is a lens that can set your images apart from the rest and offers a a beautiful glow wide open at f/1.2 and stunning sharpness when stopped down. This is a double aspherical lens and back non 1966 when it was launched it was quite the achievement in lens design. This was shot on the Leica SL2-S, my favorite 35mm full frame camera. Enjoy! Using manual focus M lenses and even Canon EF lenses it is delivering to me the most pleasing manual focus experience I have ever had the privilege to enjoy. On top of that, the best low light performance I have seen from any camera of this type. This S1 is amazing with its L mount as it allows us to use many lenses via adapters. Little jewel like lenses such as the Voigtlander 35 1.2 or 35 f2 are fantastic on this camera. The Canon 50 1.2 EF lens, amazing on this camera when using an adapter. The giant EVF makes it a breeze to focus. I bought one and it is replacing the Leica SL for me as it beats it in all ways besides design, and minimalistic menus.

🤍 My first look at the new and beautiful Leica X Typ 113. This camera is gorgeous, especially in silver/brown. Probably the most beautiful smaller camera ever made :) Picks up where the X1 and X2 left off with a faster Summilux lens (f/1.7 aperture) and this was the main weakness with the old X1 and X2, the slow f/2.8 lens. After only a few hours with the camera I have realized this is a special niche product that will really appeal to those who LOVE B&W photography. The file output is beautiful, rich, has great B&W tones and honestly, not that far off from B&W film. Its expensive at $7,950 for the body only but hey, this is to be expected as it is a Leica. In my first-on-YouTube review last fall of the 26-megapixel Pixii digital rangefinder camera, I found a lot to like... but I also found a number of issues that I thought might be deal-breakers, and that even made me consider sending it back. Since then, thanks to several major software updates and a lot more experience using the camera, my opinion has changed, and I decided it was time to update my YouTube channel accordingly. In this review, while I point out several reasons that the Pixii still isn't for everyone, I also show and tell through real-world example photos why it has become my favorite camera, the one I always reach for first. This is also my first attempt at a "talking head" style review video. Hey, I can't help how I look, okay? I just have to put up with it, and now it's your turn!

Just a quick first look at the Leica S2 Digital Camera. The S2 is a special one and I guess it should be at $22,000 for the body only. Leica sent me one for review so I will be heading out for a few days to shoot the camera.
